The other day I checked the transmission fluid level in my truck and it was a bit low. I grabbed what I had on the shelf and topped it off. After the fact I checked to see what type fluid I should be using and the specs say ATF +4. The type I used was plain old ATF. :(



Should I be concerned? What's the difference between them?

If you are still under warranty I would stick with the ATF 4.

I think it is a synthetic based fluid but not a true synthetic. :confused:

If you didn't use a lot I dont think you hurt anything.
