Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transmission Help

I got a 2002 3500 with the 47re. I just replaced the transmission governor solenoid and transducer now the truck is acting up again after i get it over 75 mph it also is throwing a over boost code just wondering if this could be causing the truck to start from second gear please help. I went ahead and have a borg warner solenoid on the way along with a boost fooler any other ideas on why it would be doing this the old solenoid and transducer is only got 650 miles on it.

I think we're going to need a lot more information before we can offer meaningful suggestions.



How many miles are on the truck and transmission?



What's the complete history of the transmission? I. e. : Has it ever been rebuilt or repaired? Have the fluid and filter been changed regularly? Have the bands been adjusted regularily? Has it been used for heavy duty applications like towing or competition?



Why did you replace the governor pressure sensor and transducer in the first place?



What happens when you place the gear selector level in "1"? Does the transmission still start in 2nd gear?



Have you checked for Diagnostic Trouble Codes with a good code scanner?

The truck has 86,000 miles on it i have had it about two months now so i can not tell you complete history. I have changed the governor pressure transducer and solenoid along with filter and new fluid because the truck would start in second gear. When the truck does start in second and i pull the gear selector down it still doesnt go into first. I have had two codes one was for over boost and the other for transmission governor pressure solenoid. And as far as i can see the truck is in great shape and doesnt look to have pulled very much if it ever did, the truck shifted great after i replaced the solednoid and transducer but only did so for about 600 miles.

I haven't had it happen to me yet, but I've heard these transducers and sensor do occasionally fail very prematurely. Maybe this is just a case of bad luck and you got a bad batch. I'd definitely replace them BOTH and if it happens again, the next step would be to test the wiring harness.



I don't believe the boost issue has anything to do with the transmission.
