Transmission Idea

I have been thinking about putting in the NV5600 in my 82 crew cab when I start the Cummins conversion, but with them no longer being built, I think I have found a different six speed to put in. I found the Eaton/Fuller FSO-6406A transmission, which is used in many medium duty trucks. I knew I would have to cut some of the floor for the 5600, but how much do you all think will need to be cut out for this E/F transmission?

What year engine are you going with? I tmight get better exposure in the 1st gen forum if it is a 1st Gen engine.



I have no idea as far as floor cutting. I had considered a 7speed if I ever put 3. 31s in my rear. (axle)
