Dunno if this is the righ forum - but suppose it'll get moved if not...

I have a motorcycle jack that doubles quite well as a transmission jack, 1500 lbs, capacity, has a cradle adapter to fit a ETH 6-speed transmission. Free loan to TDR members in the North-Bay Sacramento area... Email or PM me,,,

Oh sure Gary, only a couple weeks late;) :D :D I did my new torque converter a week ago today and Jake did his transmission about two weeks prior:cool: I don't want to have to be under another truck anytime soon:eek:

Yeah - *I* sure found muscles and sensitive spots I hadn't heard from in many years! ;)

And any who say working on these trannies is easy hasta be a masochist!

Finaly get a clutch gary?

and just for the record, nothing wrong with my transmission, just broke the flexplate and then the input shaft.

YUP - got the LUK Cerametallic installed yesterday - only about 25 miles on it - FAR too early to really form any reliable opinion - but seems very adequate for now. We have a RV trip scheduled in a couple of weeks up along the Oregon coast - probably 1500 miles or so round trip. and some pretty decent grades along the way. We'll sure know lots more by the time we get back - tho' even the stock clutch did well for the first year and 15,000 miles or so. untill the Comp did it in... ;)
