Transmission Leak - Worry or not?

Was crawling around under my truck looking for a good place to mount an onboard air system. Found red fluid drop on manual transmission. Looks like the case is wet all the way to the top? How could that be? The photo is rotated. The case joint should be vertical.

That's step one. Planning a trip to town Friday. Will stop at the quarter wash while there. Wait, it's not a quarter anymore. Buck fifty just to start.
