anyone out there that monitors their transmission pressures continously?

i feel it is just as important as monitoring fuel press. etc.

there are alot of $$$ invested in our BOMBED trannies and with a set of gauges we would be able to see that line & t/c press. are within specs or vise-versa.

i am assuming that a 0-150 psi gauge will be enough to monitor press. at the accumalator valve for forward press. and at the transmission to cooler line to monitor t/c press. i plan on using 2 electrical sending unit gauges.

any of you transmission guru's have any suggestions or comments??

thanks!!!

I'm not a "Guru" but have been through more than a few. Line pressure is what works the clutches & the TC. There is a pressure tap to check it on the drivers side of the transmission. The cooler line is not on the line side of the converter so a pressure tap there would not give you the information that you are looking for. If you want to monitor transmission pressure I would use the line pressure tap alone. With the transmission temperature guage you would get a lot of pertinent information. Whenever there is a tranmission problem line pressure & pressure rise is the first thing you should check after checking the fluid level.
