To start with I have a 47rh w/ transgo kit. When cold or not driven for a while the trans does not want to shift into 3rd. When this happens the truck is almost freewheeling. A little bit of playing with the throttle and about 100yds and it will shift afterwhich no more probems and it will shift normally. I placed gauges in the front servo and line ports and went for a ride. I am showing around 85psi of line pressure at low throttle. When cold, just before it tries to shift into 3rd, the front pressure slowly rises to 40psi then finally it jumps to 85 and shifts. Of note I checked my governor pressure. I read 0 at a standstill but by the time I reach45mph I have 80psi or almost double what I should ( stuck valve in vb or governor?). I'm thinking the line pressure is too high and I'm going to try and back off on the adjustment screw but I think it is already out and may go back to the stock spring. Any transmission gurus out there have any suggestions?
