Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission line replacement

I thought i read the 97 trucks needed the transmission line upgrade. the dealer said no.

They do, but the recall was only for gas jobs.

If you decide to replace them yourself, get the dealer to order the recall kit for you. Substantial price cut over purchasing the hoses separately.
