Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission locking and unlocking?

What are the symptoms? Something's going on just after the shift point at 35mph and then again around 45 . Truck feels like its missing but the engine sounds smooth. If I accelerate or decelerate the roughness goes away.

My truck "used" to do the same thing...



I asked the same question and got this fix advice----wrap the wire(black/brown stripe if I remember correct) from the back of the alternater to the passenger side battery with aluminum foil... Sounds crazy but fixed the problem and the trans has never done it since... .
