I am getting close to 60k miles on the truck with about 30% of those miles pulling a 10,000 lb trailer so I am going to change the transmission oil. After reading the latest issue of TDR I was thinking I should use 75w-140 (Amsoil is my choice) to cover the greatest range of my towing needs. Any comments or advise? I may also change out the rear differential at the same time with the same oil. The owners manual says to use GL-5 in the differential and the Amsoil applicating chart says the same for the NV 5600, so I was figured that if I changed the differential to 75w-140 to keep the temps down if doing the same in the transmission would also help.
