After reading the "I'm an idiot... . " post the other day, I thought, gees, I might be one too... . (scratch head)
... . so I go out and warm up the old Goat... in neutral because now I'm so much smarter for having read the post... and check my transmission oil... . yikes, not even on the stick... . so I add a quart... . then it's at the bottom of the stick, so I add another and it's up to full. Like the other poster, I have no leak, but have only owned the rig for a few months and had been checking level in park... . much wiser now, I'm seen the error of my ways... . bla... bla. . bla. .
... I would assume that someone has done a service and underfilled the slushbox at some point. How much damage has occured, I'm not sure. This morning, at temps just below freezing, after a good warmup in N, it shifted better than before and seemed to work much better... Duh !!!
So... my question is: I am an Amsoil dealer, handling recreational product lubes, but have access to all of the product. Should I do a filter service and switch to Synthetic lube ? I bought a drain plug assembly from Geno's to install when I do the service too. Has anyone got any other recommendations whilst I'm there ?
