Does anyone know the normal operating temp of the transmission? I just had a Banks Dynafact trans temp gauge installed d and it barely ever reads 140 degrees. I know that where I had the sensor installed (not in the pan) the temp will be off by about 10 degrees. My installing dealer says they talked to Banks and that reading is normal, while not towing. Any thoughts?

My sensor is in the hotline and I just drove 375 miles through the mountains today and top temp was 139. Granted it was teens & 20"s outside and I was empty. It does read hotter in the summer time and towing or in stop and go traffic

Those temps are normal, I run from 120-140 i nthe hotline cruising,up to 185 max while plowing in a heavy ,wet snow storm.

Sounds about right, about highest I ever read is 150 in summer, now that is unloaded... ... ... ... ... R, J. B. ;)
