bellyscraper,
The pan by PML that JWerkheiser is speaking of is in our opinions the best value out there on the market. The paint thing the argument is over is an issue that is real. The powder coating that is so pretty on the Mag pans is one heck of a good insulator, on of the best in fact! out-of=here loves his Mag and that's OK, but the PML will get you 20-30 degrees drop at lass than 200. 00 delivered to you door with change in fact, while the mag is considerably more. PML found that by adding more fluid but not adding tons more you get the same cooling effect, and in fact better cooling as it doesn't have the powder coating to insulate it. This is because the pump in the trans will only pass "X" quarts per minute, if you just keep adding fluid your not helping the cool off effect after climbing a long grade, in fact you'll find that the time to cool the fluid after a long grade has been increased. The PML is anodized clear to keep it looking good but it's a thin application to pass the heat etc. We have seen the same resluts on Fords and GM's as well.
Hey to each his own, that's why then make different colors of trucks etc. If we can help you let us know!!
