I own a '96 with the 47RE and recently upgraded the oil pan that D/C changed in 98(?) to hold 1. 5qts more. The original pan had rolled edges on the bolt areas to give the sealing lip strength, but this newer one (from D/C) has areas that are just flat. So as you tighten the bolts the lip tends to distort, not really giving a good seal with the specified torque. I bought the newer "anti-leak" gasket from the dealer, but it doesn't seal all that well. Is there suspose to be some extra pieces that go on the bolts that distributes the bolt tightness, similar to what you would use on a valve cover on a gas engine? If not, it sure seems like a weak design to me. Thanks
