So i have a '06 5. 9 with 110000 miles, with a K&N air cleaner and turbo back Banks exhaust, otherwise stock. Transmission was starting to shift hard between 1st and 2nd so I figured it was time for a good service. I had a full flush, fresh oil, belt adjustment and new filter done. Transmission was smooth and shifted like new for first couple thousand miles. Now a few thousand miles after service, shifting between first and second at low speeds and low throttle is terrible! Cant decide if it wants to be in first or second and just bounces between the two gears, apply more throttle and its just fine..... drivin me nuts since the stealership charged 275 for the service and I had no problems before! Any ideas would be helpful, Thanks!

Likely problem is the gov solenoid and pressure transducer. Always seesm to show problems after a service if they get changed. The OE parts are good for about 40k and then seem to be problematic. If you did not have them changed it over due.

If they actually flushed the trans instead of just doing a fluid exchange (normally its just an exchange but you never know) that could be the source of the problem. I would take it back and complain. See if they will do something for you. Otherwise, the parts are $100-150 plus fluid and its realtively easy to do yourself armed with a little knowledge.

FYI, these transmissions don't have belts, they have bands. If they told you they adjusted the belts be worried, be VERY worried. ;)

LOL! LOL! I agree take it back and complain and dont do anymore flushes, causes things to end up where they are not supposed to be. ie... dirt, clutch material, etc... I worked at a dealership where the used car guy would sell trans flushes on anything automatic to the salesmen up front... i would bet that atleast 75% of them came back before the used warranty was over and the dealership never caught on... one of the many reasons i quit dealership ***** and went on my own...
