Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission Problems

Hello friends,



I feel two light shudders when my baby shifts from the first to the second gear under light (about 1300rpms) acceleration without load when i accelerate harder i feel only one lighter shudder(but thats maybe caused by the faster change of the gears), i also feel the same when the transmission shifts back from the 2nd to the 1st.

All other things are OK no slipping TC,. .

Does anybody has some hints?

TPS maybe needs cleaned or low line PSI would be my guess.

Had another thought driving today, check the return spring on the throttle valve on the transmission.



I had to replace my broken one a while back. Without it, the valve won't return to idle position when your foot is off the go pedal or hold in the correct position while driving. Causes some really weird and soft shifting characteristics.

Thanks i´ll check the TPS tonight, but sorry for the dumb answer where can i find the low pressure line?

I´ll let you know whats goinig on with my transmission,

I haven't checked mine, but there are some test ports on the transmission to check the press.

on our '98 I get the same shudder on the first to second upshift, came to the concusion that it was the rear axle (wheel hop), never noticed if it does it on the downshift. Bob

Thanks to your suggestion Bob after cleaning all the stuff my baby doesn´t stop making shudder.

Can i do something against it or just live with it.

Now I am goinig to tab my kdp.
