OK, I just replaced my third Transmission Range Sensor. The little devils start to leak oil internally and it causes all sorts of issues, various codes and dead accelerator pedal (truck wont go momentarily). It's a pretty simple install and the cable is adjusted. The transmission was rebuilt once, could the cam that runs on the sensor have been damaged or are the sensors just junk? I have gone through the original Mopar one, a NAPA one and now another Mopar. Any ideas would be appreciated.

The plastice actuator on the linkage will wear and you get false information on what gear it is, but, an internal leak in the body of the sensor is just a bad component. The snesors are pretty much junk like the rest of the trans sensors, it is hit or miss to get a good one at times.
