Help!! It's that time of year ,here in the northland, where the O/D doesen't kick in because of the temp. I have installed gauges (EGT,Boost, transmission temp) since last winter . I would like to bypass the transmission sensor with a resistor and switch so when the transmission temp is up to operating temp I can bypass the sensor.

I have found that the resistor has to be 100 ohms aprox, but haven't figured out where to install the resistor and switch. Sure could use some help.

It should kick in when the trans heats up. It might take a couple miles (mine took 3 yesterday - a new record since the new T/C) but it should when warm.

DC has it locked out when cold for a reason. According to the FSM it is to keep from lugging the engine when cold. Wouldn't it be easier to make it shift correctly??

Edit: Contact one of the transmission shops in the links or BD to get the correct resistance.

Edit Edit: Look here.
