transmission Screwed Up

Just got the truck back from the transmission shop, and while everything is fine with the transmission i have no 4 wheel drive. This was a pain in the but driving home 40 miles on drifted roads. With the lever in 2 hi the 4 wheel drive indicator is on with the lever in 4 hi the light is off no 4 wheel drive. I think that the axle and "hubs" are engaged when in 2 hi and disengaged in 4 hi. I cannot get the transfer case to go into 4 low. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i dont want to go back to the transmission shop and i hope it is a simple fix.

Check the 4 port vacuum connecter where it attaches to the transfer case. Made to only go on one #ad
way Pull it of & check that it goes back on the right way #ad
