I have seen a lot of talk about putting the transmission sensor probe in the cooler line and buying a new line from an older truck. I found a -8an male to-8 female pressure guage adaptor and was wondering if I could just cut the aluminum line about an inch shorter, reflare it, install the pressure sensor in between the aluminum line and the hydraulic line and bolt it back together? This would only be about $20. Could this be done or am I overlooking something? There is a link at the bottom for the guage adaptor Thanks
John

Sure you could, there is nothing tricky about it. Just use the 37° flare fitting tool for your AN-type fittings. If you look even more Summit has a Compression fitting that would allow you to simply cut the line and then install the compression fitting and you would be done.

One other thing is that my sensor that came with my Isspro guage would stick so far in the hole it would plug the line so somehow I would have to extend that out for fluid to move through.
