I have a 2019 Ram 3500 Duelly, with the HO and Asisin transmission. Getting ready to service the transmission for the 30k fluid change. Am I understanding that I only need to do a fluid change, OR do I need to do the fluid, filter, gasket, flush Etc.? Also does anyone have any recommendations as to where to purchase the Mopar transmission fluid? Geno's doesn't appear to carry it, will of course get filter and gasket from them. Thanks in advance.

The AISIN has a drain plug on it, just pull it and let it drain ( I did about 30+ min), then add the oil of your choice that meets the SPEC. Mobil 3309 is one, I used AMSOIL Signature ATF.

Sounds like you may be in the same boat I found myself in as your 19' should now be on its "second change". This happened to me because I missed the time component to the trans service.. ( It is 30k / 24mo ) which ever comes first on the drain interval. I plan to do mine again next year as its the second which is a fluid an filter change at 60k or 48mo and I will then hit the 48 mo interval at that time... Sucks to waste some ATF but it'll then get more of the OE fluid out and more AMSOIL in. It is a shame to dump fluid with very low miles on it just to hit the time component but it is what it is. To date, it is the only item I missed maintenance wise, IMHO the maintenance intervals on filters and fluids seem a bit excessive for those of us that do not use commercially, when I run my warranty out, I will not be changing $200 fuel filters annually with only 8k miles on them, it'll become bi-annual, but that's a way down the road... Good luck, its a easy service.

One way to get 100% AMZ/OIL in your AISIN is to get a new one installed. :D

My Indy pulled the plug at 2 years 20 k. Said it took 7 quarts of Mobil 3309. So if I’m reading my service manual properly pan drop and filter fluid and gasket change out and Amsoil severe duty atf for the refill. This is at 48 months or 4 years. The 30 k and 60 k is for high mile drivers. The months and years for us low mile drivers. It’s a bit confusing. I also agree when the warranty max care is done I will change everything a bit less but at 80 years old I probabably won’t be driving very much also time will tell

I also use Amsoil. ~7.3 quarts at 24 months/30K miles, then at 48 months /60K miles it’s the same plus the filter.

I would only run the Mopar fluid if nothing, and I mean nothing, else was available.

The OEM fluid, Mobil 3300, and most T-IV fluids are not synthetic. I use Amsoil because all those specs are on the bottle and it’s a quality synthetic.

Under warranty I would watch those month based service intervals.

Thank you all for the replies/info. I've read mixed reviews on the Amsoil with the Aisin specifically, any truth or issues to the Amsoil causing issues with the Aisin? I just don't want to foul it up.

Do you guys have a way you drain all of the fluid or are you adding the Amsoil to the undrained portion of the original fill?

Adding to the undrained.... I'll be doing my 48 mo in OCT... at that point I will have swapped in 14+ qts and a filter,... Should be good and continue diluting to all SYN

I just wondered if there was a concern with mixing the synthetic with the non-synthetic residual undrainable. Apparently not. :)
