I'm just wondering when everyone does their transmission service for the first time. I have 19,500 miles and the book says 30,000 but someone had said if you tow you should do it at 20,000. I'm gettin ready to go out east ( N. Y. & Sandusky Oh. ) pullin my TT and would it be worth doin it early? Also would you drop the pan and change fluid & filter or do the 100% fluid change on the machine with no filter change.

Thanks

JIM

I had mine done at 15k, along with the rear end, and fuel filter. Since I rarely tow anything, I'll stick to every 30000 miles from here on in. But I figured that the 129. 00 was well spent, to get any potential issues out early.

I had the dealer do it, and they took the pan off, changed 100% of the oil, and the filter for $129. 00.

Where in NY are you planning on going? I live in Western NY, and there are some nice camp grounds locally.

We are going to Sandusky Ohio next Tue -----Cedar Point---------we are camping in a place called Greenfield Ohio and then on to Niagra Falls that Fri & Sat----------------anyway my selling dealer says not to do anything until 40 or 50,000 since I have synthetic it would be a waste of $ to do it early and the local dealer says to do the 100 % fluid change---no filter or pan drop-------for $199-----so I am a little miffed at the responses

Thanks

JIM
