Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission shift question?

are these 47re suppose to shift twice and then shift to overdrive and then immediatly into lock up i thought they were suppose to go into lock up in 3rd and 4th it hase no shutter or shake or slip it just locks up then power!!! thanks

I beleive the 3rd gear lock-up with od enabled started in 2001.

There is certain other conditions to be met also.

I don't like the 3rd locked-to - od shift in mine.
