For the last two days after hauling my trailer back to the shop, a twenty mile run,I back the trailer in the shed, head home and the truck won't shift. Today I pulled over and shut it off started it again and had no problem shifting. Is there a module that is overheating or is this some kind of limp mode like the motor has. Would like some ideas before I take it to my dealer. DW

I also have the dtt trans mods on my truck. I had a problem after I picked up the truck from the shop & was @ 110 miles away near home the problem is your trans is going into limp mod . Call Bill K at diesel trans and they will have you check voltages on a pair of leads on the PCM if the are high you will need to add a 50 ohm resistor at 10 watts to lower the voltage level. Hope this helps you out.

Called DTT Weds. about the problem, was told by a tech, don't know who, that it was a small scratch on a valve in the valve body caused by dirt in the fluid. Ther was no doubt in his mind this was the cause and on Friday the part was already here in Wisconsin. Great service to say the least. DW

Both of you have the vb & tc from DTT I see. Just wondering about the difference from stock in shifting, accel. , towing? I am probably some time off from doing this, but it's nice to hear from someone who the change still feels "new".

BTW, dare I ask... ... cost??

TSRAM: Took about 5 hours shop time to r&r the trany. Call DTT about the cost, they are a pleasure to deal with. The shifts are firm when empty as was expected, but under load they are very smooth. Best part is no slipping and more power to the road. DW
