Transmission shudder

I just purchased an 06 2500 Mega cab with an automatic. I noticed a slight shudder when taking off. I didnt think much about it till I towed my 5thwheel and boat to Missouri. When taking off the truck shudders bad. Now empty it dosent any more. Do you think I It will go away or take it in? By the way I still like my 99 with lots toys Thanks for your input.

Funny... . I noticed the same thing today for the very first time exactly the way you've described it only I was unloaded/not towing and no hard take off's. I have a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 3500 Dually with 48RE.

I was just towing ~9k on saturday with my best friend who works for Detroit/Allison.

He said it was Torque converter shudder, and apparently the big rigs do it even worse

I never thought of the torque converter.

Mine does the same thing.
I was looking towards the drive shaft angle, that changes @ the rear member when you're loaded. #ad

I think you're right about the u-joint angle at the pinion. I followed TDR member Klenger's slide show and dropped my rear suspension by the thickness of the 3 spring spacers on the rear springs on a 2006 QC Long Bed and the shudder went away completely.
