Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Transmission Slipping After Sitting

I only drive my truck once every two weeks. I am parked on a hill. After starting, i have hold my break than put in drive and give it some gas. it takes about a minute with the RPMs up until the transmission starts to grab and after a few minutes it seems to be fine.

I checked the fluid and it seems fine. Any ideas?

Your torque converter is draining back into the pan. Try starting in N and it will fill up quick.

That is right, the converter is draining back into the pan, due to normal wear on the converter bushng.

Start it, put it in neutral for 30 seconds. Also fresh fluid and filter does make a difference.
