When I go around a corner at regular speed(such as turning on city blocks 90 degree turns)and hold the throttle steady, the transmission shifts to 2nd gear(auto) then sort of slips or hunts for a position then is ok on the rest of the shifts. But if I,m going straight and accelerating slow it will sometimes do it. If I accelerate hard it does not do it at all. My transmission fluid level is OK I think and in good condition. What could this be a TPS going bad? I only have this problem mostly after filter and fluid change and if I add more fluid it seems to help a little but then I,m way overfull on the dipstick in neutral ,level and hot. I need input. Its really bad when the fluid level is right on the top mark where it should be. I wish it was easier to get the fluid level just right. Poor way to do it IMO HELP Thanks

Turbo Terry, have you tried adjusting your bands? Mine was slipping a little, mostly when I would slow for a turn, then give it gas to complete the turn. I adjusted the bands when I put on my Mag-Hytec, and it made a world of difference.

Are you sure that its not you LSD that you'er feeling while going around corners. Is it more noticable from a dead stop and then turning a corner? Does it slip under a load on a straight pull?

Did you check both sides of the dipstick? You should use the lower fluid level on the back of the dipstick to make your measurement.

terry , let me make a guess , you are doing about 25 mph while doing this ? if so the trans is NOT slipping , its just not sure where it wants to be , the increaded line pressure is making the 2-3 shift valve hang in the middle as the pressures are very close to equal on either side of it at this MPH , this is approximate MPH that DTT figured we would not sit at and set the VB to shift , i have the same problem , i have 2 miles going to and from my home where speed limit is 25 and it will hunt for gear , i just hold it in 2nd and putt along , there is an adjustment you can make , call Bill .

also check both sides of the dipstick as the level is not the same ...
