Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) transmission & TC

I have 103,000 on my one ton and am experiencing some slippage with the TC while pulling my fifth wheel. I think it is about time to reach in the old wallet and get a new trans and TC. I have read about ATS, DTT, & Dunrite. Do any of you have any personal experience with any of the three and what would you recommend as the best of the the three. I do not know if the trans is bad, but I felt with mileage it would be best to replace the old automatic. Thanks for your suggestions.

Man you just brought a transmission to a gun fight :-laf , Read, research, ask questions, read some more. I am only going to comment on what i know. Everybody Hold on... . THANKS DTT, I LOVE IT! I built mine myself with great tech help about a six weeks ago and i have been aggressive (beat the #$@& out of it) repeatedly. I Love it, The T/C is perfect, the shifts are great, it feels awesome. I have never spent so much money on something that wasn't broken in my life and i am glad i did. I wanted to post the first time i drove it, the difference was amazing :--) , it feels and pulls like it should. I am not Bashing the others, rather, Complimenting DTT for Job well done from the first phone call to the first ride, and the second, third... . Oo. Oo. Oo. I hope that you have the same experience in whichever you chose, Dave.

I have bought two transmissions now from Suncoast Converters. . Joe Webb (the owner) is a very nice guy and won't let you buy anything he doesn't feel you need. . On one of my transmissions I tried to order all billet, and he said he didn't want to sell me anything that would just be wasting my money. . You don't find that often when you're telling someone you're ready to pay for everything. .

I have no experience with the others...

i don't think you could go wrong with any of the trans companys ATS, DTT, suncoast, dunright ETC. ETC. ETC.

if i were you, get the whole deal and not just a converter and valvebody
