transmission temp guage and sensor mounting

When I purchased gauges and sensor mount gizmo 4-5 years ago I only got minimal results. With the temp sensor mounted outside the transmission pan and mounted on the hot line using this mounting gizmo it just did not transfer heat like it should. My guage never got above 160 degrees. While I had the truck in for transmission service and recall we drilled and tapped the x-large pan (PML) and mounted sensor into side of pan. Got it wired up yesterday. It now reads very well.
