Installed trantemp Isso guages about 6 months ago and now the temp guage is bouncing all around from full tilt to nothing. Traced lines and see nothing to show short. All power hook ups look good. Could the box be the problem? Any help to pin point problem would be appreciated.

I'd turn off the engine and see if the gauge bounces around with the ignition on and engine off. If it reads nice and steady and looks like a reasonable reading, you might try getting somebody to move connections around and see if it makes the gauge start bouncing around. At least that's what I'd try as a starting point.

My Isspro transmission temp gauge was doing that. Had a loose connection on the amp box. Fine now. Just had to re insert the wire into the slot, and tighten the screw.

Mine did that also. I called ISSPRO an they told me they were having some issues with the sending probe. They sent me a new unit and I installed tonight. What I'm calling the sending probe is the brass piece that actually goes in the pan. The new one has a little bit different wiring coming out of it. After installing the new probe it seems to be working correctly. I'll you all posted.

The fluctuating problem is gone. Anyone with these problems should get hold of ISSPRO to see what they can do for you. They gave me great service.

I ordered mine from Geno's Garage. They have a web site, and they also send a catalog with every TDR magazine every quarter. Very knowledgable.
