Do I need a temp gauge for a 5 speed manual transmission? If so, how are ya'll hookin it up to it? I am planning a boost and a pyro and will put in a transmission guage if its needed but don't want to put it in if it isn't going to be very beneficial or important?

If you tow heavy, I would. Even they can get pretty warm. I know the ZF5 in the Fords can get up around 275* on a long, hard pull.

Othr than that, no need.

I drive a KW, and it has a transmission gauge. It sees 210* (running syn. lube) on a hot day, on flat ground running hard. Get under 80* ambient, then it is a tad below 200*

I'd also reccomend the fuel pressure gauge instead of the trans. About half of the 3-gauge kits we sell for the Cummins are Pyro, boost, and 30PSI Fuel Press. gauge.
