just Installed transmission temp gauge, and i was just wondering some input on this question.

When I am driving empty the temp gauge gets to about 130 degrees, now when I am sitting at an idle in park not moving the transmission temp gets up to 150 degrees. I am just wondering if that sounds normal, as to why the temp goes up when there is no load on the transmission, but when there is a load on the transmission meaning just driving it the temp goes down. IS THAT NORMAL...

the fluid isnt being pumped through the transmission cooler when there is no load on the transmission... its like a big pump basicly, when you have a load on it there is circulation through the cooler. . someone will correct me if im wrong, but i think thats how it works
