Towed my 27 ft. 5th. wheel today for first time since gauge installation. Went to 230 deg. before getting out of overdrive then down to about 200. But back to 230 if in O. D. Never did hear under fender transmission cooler come on,but had quite a bit of wind and might have come on the same time I took it out of O. D. Someone posted fan should come on at 180 , is this correct. If so my fan temp sensor is not working. I tried to find a sensor but no-one here carries them ,Dodge does not list them. I wired around the sensor to off-on switch and will control manually untill I can find one. I am going to try to tow my trailer to the Tx. gulf coast tomorrow for a month so if anyone can shed some light on this please do so tonight.

Thanks: Bob

Switch

I also have 92 and have wired around the sensor to a switch. It's the best thing to do, I never really trusted the fan to come on.

To take the load off the switch be sure and add a relay, believe me the switch can get real toasty without a relay.

When I haul my camper, I just remember to turn the switch on.

Thanks Jim: Your probably right about the relay, got a 20 amp switch in but will put a relay in as soon as possible. Does the fan bring the temps down pretty quick? Didnt Know if you had a transmission gauge or not.
