Transmission type confusion

I thought my 1993 D250 had a Getrag 5speed. Today someone told me they switched to NV4500's in '93. Is this true, and how do I check visually?

How does this effect the clutch/PP choices?

They were installed in trucks in 93, but only in 94 models. All of the first gen trucks got the Getrag. I have had several people tell me they have seen factory NV's in first gen trucks, but I have never seen one with my own eyes. Just an urban legend. They don't really exist.

Slide under your truck, it will say GETRAG bigger than life on the side of the trans.

Don't forget the 93 gasser models had the light duty nv4500, but no diesel models with nv4500.

LOL, I did not know this!

Now a clutch question: Will a 99. 5 model truck clutch and PP fit my Getrag? What are the opinions of the Centerforce products?
