I apologize in advance for what may be a stupid question. I am in the process of upgrading the transmission. I've spoken with several different individuals from different trans. manufactures, and seem to be getting differing information on what needs to be upgraded. My confusion centers around this "Transmission Servo" - what is it and what does it do? Does it always need to be replaced with a TC / VB / input shaft upgrade on an '05?

Thanks for your help,

- Jason

Servo

I wish I could answer that for you but I can't. I leave all my transmission questions to the good folks at DTT. If you call them I'm sure they will answer any & all questions you have about your trans. Great people IMHO!

Jason,

I agree with Clay. Bill and Stephan can and will answer all your questions. I just traded my 01 Auto with DTT upgrades for an 05 6-speed manual. The mods are first rate and you WILL NOT be disapointed! There are many builders out there. DTT is Top of the Stack.

Thanks for the info guys. The 2 companies I spoke with were: DTT and Goerends. The guys at DTT seemed to think I needed an "upgraded servo", Dave at Goerends didn't. I really enjoyed speaking with Dave, and I am leaning towards upgrading with him, just don't want to make a desicion I will regret later on.

You need to share more info on the the use,Commercial,Race,Pulling, future HP, everyday use. The spec"s will determine the cost.

I agree with the others. DTT is definately top of the stack. If they think you need it that I would put it in. When I had my transmission built they did not put one in. I have no intentions of being a dyno king or drag racer!!! My power levels did not constitute it. They did not feel that I needed it.
