Transmission Upgrade

I believe HVAC was looking for a replacement transmission for his truck but ruled out Eaton because there was no overdrive.

I have used this transmission in International trucks and it is a winner. Very smooth and easy to shift.

I don't think this would work very well for a racing aplication because of one heck of a granny 1st. I think it would be way too low of a ratio to come off the line in 1st and too high to launch in second. I looked into a truck transmission (with granny 1st) when I wanted to put a stick in my Cobra II and decided against it for just that reason.
