2001 3500 4x4 with banks power pack system. I offten pull a 10000lb weekend warrior. Looking to upgrade my stock auto matic transmission. Don,t know where to start. Any help would be great!!!! keep on truckin.

This is a very sensitive subject to a few of the auto transmission guys around here... . questions like this can cause another, uhm, :-{} situation to flare up. Best advice is to use the forum search, and look at the signatures of some of the guys on here and Private Message them.



Try www.suncoastconverters.com, www.dieseltrans.com, and www.atsdiesel.com. These are the sites for Suncoast, DTT, and ATS, respectively. Check them out as they are all three outstanding transmission builders and are all willing to work with you. You just have to see which one you like most and fits your needs best, and their contact numbers will be on the websites.



Hopefully I can avert a total disaster with my preventative measures

You might want to consider ATS.

They have a Torque converter controller for their Triplelok torque converter that works in conjunction with an Exhaust brake.

Just to point out, DTT has a controller that works in conjunction with an exhaust brake. I am pretty certain BD has one also. I'm not sure about Goerend?
