I just had a long discussion with Dave Goerend at Goerend transmissions in Iowa. Dave was willing to install or make any mods I desired to my transmission. I had asked him about the DTT torque converter and even though this is a competitor, Dave had nothing bad to say about it. In fact he said that although he had never driven one, based on the pictures Bill K. had posted, he thought that it would be a very good converter and very efficient. He said that if I wanted to have the DTT he would be happy to install it for me. He also said he would install his own and if I didn't like it he would take it out and give my money back. I really like dealing with someone who refuses to bad mouth the competition. I am going to have Dave install his transmission mods to my truck in the near future. I know that Kat Diesel had good things to say about Dave and after a long talk with him I feel the same way. Dave is the kind of person that makes me feel good about being a TDR member. If any one is interested his shop is on the web with this link. http://www.gbtransmissions.com/ I'll let all of you know in a future post how well his mods work. I will be having the work done on May 29 so after that I will report.
