transmission whine

I have a 2006 dodge 2500 4x4 quad cab swb. Going down the road the transmission will whine pretty loud in sixth gear but if i push it to the right a lil bit and hold it there it will not do it. Nothing major just aggravated. truck has 15500 miles on it

I've noticed a transmission whining sound too. I notice it more in stop and go traffic. The dealer said it was nothing to worry about, it was part of the electronic 4wd system. My 06 2wd mega cab did not make this sound.
