Good morning all. I have 1992 W250 Cummins that has a Phoenix remanufactured "extreme" duty transmission. I have only had the truck for about a month, the transmission only has about 70 miles on it. I have personally driven it only about 7 miles, test driving it after some repairs. It started slipping in all gears so I stopped driving it and had it hauled to a local transmission shop. He pulled the pan and the fluid is in good shape but it has metal shavings in it. The transmission will need to be pulled and taken apart to determine what failed and what is needed. Does anybody have any experience about the Phoenix Remanufactured transmissions. The company sells a lot of trannies, has good standing with BBB of Phoenix AZ and they have good feedback on ebay. This transmission came with the truck and has an impressive list of upgrades and heavy duty improvements. I was concerned that the transmission is not as stated by the seller or Phoenix Transmissions and was wondering if anybody else has had any experience with these or heard of anything about them. Thanks all.
