I'm feeling I've been had again. My old, 1992 , diesel, had zero problems. now my 01. 5 has, what i believe is a torque converter problem and with only 21000 miles. If you're on a smooth road in overdrive, unloaded or loaded,at between 5 and 12 lbs. of boost, the truck feels like you're going over a rough or bouncy road. If you kick it out of overdrive the feeling goes away. However the engine is taching 2000 or better. Drives me nuts! Do you have to put up with the screaming engine to have a decent ride at these boost pressures?? Ain't worth it. I wish I had my old truck back. It had less power for sure, but shifted into overdrive at 35 mph, not 45 or 50 or 55 or sometimes 60. The engine rpm noise drives me crazy, busy, busy, busy. What good is an overdrive if you can only use it going downhill? Has anyone had any of these problems? I think going to the dealer would be a waste of time, they'd say it was the road! Is this transmission "supposed" to be better than the old one?
