Well it has been a long ordeal with the truck. This past summer involved many mis-haps for transmission issues. The issues started after dscovering a crack in the overdrive unit that was causing a constant oil leak. After having a shop in Mass refuse to work on it, and a local trans shop in New Hampshire(supposed to be transmission experts, should have known, they didn't do diesel work) try to rebuild the transmission THREE times I still was not going forward and was $6000 dollars poorer.

Finally to the Rescue was Frank Noble of NOBLE HIGH PERFORMANCE in Wolcott CT. This is were I should have gone right away. Frank meticulasly prepared a transmission capable of putting the big power of my truck (this is Piers old truck from BD days, except it now has a set of Piers Twins and many other things) to the ground. The transmission works Great. Shifts are very firm (even into OD) and predictable. Full throttle shifts are 3400 to 3500. Light shifts and down shifts are Great too.

I can't say enough of how much I appreciate Frank Nobble stepping up to the plate and building a transmission that works. The truck had been down for over 5 months. (rust even started to show on the twins)

If you need a real transmission built here in the NorthEast Nobble High Performance is the place to Go.

Thanks Frank.

Cool,

Every once in a while, I will see a commercial for BD Power and they always show that blue and gray dodge smokin the tires off. Every time I see it, I always have a smile on my face. I guess that it is a 98 12V?

Het Smokin, Lebanon PA!!!! That is where all my relatives live. Do you know of the Mohl family????

When my wife and I were down at Piers' shop in 2001, he had a maroon 12v, regular cab--does he still have that one?

Hi JohnP,

Yes, I have been out of commission since this past fall. The truck is running well now with some more new stuff on the way.

I can't thank Frank Noble enough for taking this "project" transmission on.
