transmissions worried now

See my set up. Just installed the EZ etc. Tow a boat thats about 8000, truck loaded to go is 7500. truck rated at 16000 GCVW. Sent a message to DTT and ask thier thoughts on the trans with this set up. The reply was that I should at least do the valve body and seals. Interesting, before I started the general thought was that the stock tranney would handle the Edge EZ without mods. Any one out there have experiance with towing heavy, edge ez and auto with 3. 54 gears. I will end up with a full up DTT but would rather wait awhile.

automatic transmissions problems

I have the exact setup you have 99 2500 auto edge ez.

I tow a 22 ft fifth wheel 5200 lbs wet.



I am on the 3rd transmission in 55987 miles.



Stuck in Big Spring Texas for 14 days waiting for parts.



New transmission & torque converter at 55987. Lock up clutch slips and first to second shift delayed now. Before blowup and replacement first to second shift slammed back and forth before going to second.



Dealer said all was in spec couldnt find a problem even though the problem could be recreated.



I feel I was lied to when told there wasn't a problem with automatics before I bought.
