I'm planning on adjusting the bands on my 47RE transmission in the near future. I see that the front band adjustment is on the outside and the rear adjuster is in the pan. My question is this: Can I adjust the front band now and do the rear band when I change the fluid, or should I do them both at the same time?

Thanks,

Bill

you should do them both, i don't know if doing one at a time will cause any problems however because i did the one on the VB and still haven't done the one on the front because i didn't have the right tool and that was about 6 months ago.

Adjusting the bands is something that I am going to do this weekend as the transmission is slipping a little on slow corners where I suspect that it is in 2nd gear and trying to go to third. Sound right? None of the corners were with a heavy foot just a small speed change and it would slip and then catch again and off I would go.

The other thing is is what transmission is in my truck or how would I find out?

Thanks for the help ahead of time

Tristan
