Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Ran into a fella that had a pretty cool setup on his first gen ram.
The first cool thing was that the front suspension had been modified to accept air bags at the rear spring mounts. The fellow said that it was a kit that he bought when he bought the truck new.
The truck was still running the stock getrag however, he had mounted a electrically driven pump to the frame rail and connected it to a small oil cooler in front of the radiator. The pump was switched on and off by a thermostatic switch that turned on at 180 degrees. He claimed that it would keep the transmission at 180 degrees even when pulling steep hills. He also said that he had 250,000 on his getrag with no problems and he was hooked up to a 5th wheel camper at the time.
