Last week my ol man asked me if I had tried Shaeffer's Premium additive. I thought more drugs that don't do anything. So for the heck of it I dropped in three ounces of this stuff. One gallon of the stuff treats about a 1000 gallons.

Much to my suprise there was a difference. I always 0 out the trip odometer after I fill up. Normally I always hit the 1/2 a tank at three hundred miles. But with the additive I hit the 1/2 way at 375 miles. When I filled up on Thursday I put on 20 gallons with a total miles of 425. I normally get 20 mpg. Looks like with the additive I'm around 23. 75 mpg.

I'm gonna test some more. Next week I'm gonna go with out additive. Then the week after that I'll add the additive again.

A while back in the TDR magazine there was a write up about Almagated fuel additives. But in the article they compared all the fuel additives that contained 2-EHN(2-Ethl Hexyl Nitrate). Wich is used to bump up cetane. Also supose to reduce emissions also. Schaeffer's had like the secound highest amount of 2-EHN. What is 2-EHN? Its a liquid explosive.
