I just tried to retrieve the engine hours from my '05. I didn't succeed. I was working from memory and apparantly didn't use the correct sequence. I did however press the odometer/tripometer button with the key in the switch in the off position. This triggered a lamp test on the gauge cluster, and the Tach and MPH gauges incrementaly swept through their readings by 10's from bottom to top. When this whole thing fininshed the lamps all went out and the odometer displayed (C-CODE) and then (A4 55). Anyone know what that means?

Sounds like you triggered a gauge test. To display the hour meter turn the ignition on (but don't start the engine) then press the trip meter button and hold it for 5 or 6 seconds.

Dunno what the codes mean, sorry... . is everything working OK in the gauges? If so, that may just be a confirmation code or something.

Yeah the truck's fine. I was wondering if there was a data-base for the codes somewhere on here. I searched but did't find anything specific. Thanks.

Wow Catcracker

That just shows the mileage robbing disparity that our trucks have traveled. I just went over 3000hrs this week and I have over 136,000 miles. Maybe the old hiway miles FS city driving adage is valid.

I got a code as well. Same thing happen to me the other day after an oil change. I got a c-code 67 34. The 34 is apparently the engine starts since the code was set. The 34 is now like 47. I am trying to track down what the 67 is. In my post someone mentioned about a power lock wire low. I'm going to go through the service manual and try to find something. Everything is working on my truck and I have no mil. Then after the 67 34 it flashed a 00 00. I understand the C codes are Chassis codes. The P codes are p codes are powertrain codes. I found a C code list for GM but couldn't find one for Mopar. Some of the C-codes for GM are things like power steering angle sensor and such. No idea what the A4 or 67 are.
