Does anybody know the paint code for the overhead console color? I think they are all the same color. Can I just go to the dealer and get it in a spray can?

Thanks,

Jim

if you have a piece the color you want just take it to an automotive paint store and they can make up exactly what you want in about 5 min. The paint from the dealer is expensive and may be off. If you have a piece to take in you can get an exact match by dabbing a smudge on your part and checking it in the light.

Paint

I went to the local dealer for paint for the new pillar mount in my truck. They said they do not stock any paint, they order the paint as needed. On top of that they said it usually takes 2-4 tries to get a real good match, and you get to pay 2-4 times, and end up with 2-4 cans of unusable paint.

I still need to find paint to match the Dark Blue interior if anyone has any paint tips.

paint

 Why are the colors different , on mine i had the dash one color, the a pillers another, the door,s I didn't notice untill the apiller install myself, the trim code is for the dash, so i just made the left and right match the dash, way to go DC. Harv

Tell me about it!! I found out that I had a '98(?) dash in my '02 when I went to install the aftermarket CD player and couldn't find the right adapter for the deck.

Trim code

JT I took the trim code # off the sticker under the hood and had the parts man decode it to the Dodge part #. For example I bought a small spray can for a 97 3500 with tan interior. I don't remember the trim code # (left it at work on the desk) something like Z1??. The color they got me is called carmel with a part #04864437. It is a light tan color, might even be the same that you are looking for, hope this helps.

For your camel/tan interior: Pull the fuse access door at left end of dash or pull ashtray. Hold either next to A pillar and then decide—are they the same color or not?

I think you'll call the dash and its attachments Dark Tan and the A pillar Camel.

Here are the Mopar numbers:

P/N 04864437 - Camel ( marked carmel as RBrunson mentioned)

P/N 05003524 - Dark Tan

See that was my problem all along. I have the mist interior, but the overhead is camel (or whatever). That is what I need to match color to. I had thought about getting as close as I could, and just repainting the whole thing, but that might look cobbled.

I'll order a can of P/N 04864437 and see what I end up with.

Thanks for the help,

Jim
