2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Trip Computer

I have the basic over head display on my 98. 5 (compass, temp), and I'm wishing I had a full trip computer, with calculated mileage, et cetera. So, that being said, what are my options? Would it be possible to retrofit with a stock computer, or are there aftermarket options?

Just carry a small hand held calculator in the door pocket. The Trip computers, such as on my 05, are not that accurate anyway.

I realize that, and I calculate my mileage with every tank anyway, but it is useful for quick reference. I go 600+ miles between fillups.
