November I'm heading to Disney with the Family pulling 27' TT 6000lb. Can anyone recommend a nice clean respectful campgroung to stop at in the South Caralina / Goergia area? I would perfer the location to be write off 95? I'm planning one stop each way. So my return trip I'm thinking I should make it to South Caralina / Virginia area any sugestions? This will be my first trip pulling that distance so if anyone has any other input that will be of assistance it will be greatly appreciated.

i have made that run literally 50 times. you will make much much better time driving throught the night. otherwise do not drive anywhere in florida (at least the areas you will be in) during rush hours.

there is usuall a ton of koa signs up and down the road. south of the border has always been a toursit trap but i last time i was by there it was pretty run down.

My wife and I drive to Disney at least twice a year. From the western side of Pennsylvania, we take rt. 77 through Charlotte to avoid the traffic around the DC area. From the eastern side of the state, you almost have to fight that beltway traffic. :{

Just wondering, are you staying at the Disney campgrounds at Fort Wilderness, or are you staying off site?

We spent last Christmas and New Years at Disney. I'll tell you, they put on a very impressive holiday celebration. We havn't been there for Thanksgiving, but I'm sure it will be impressive.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions about any of the parks or resorts. I'll be happy to help. :)

When you get tired - head for the nearest WalMart. Many are just off freeway exits. While there restock you food supplies. They welcom RVs. Don't try driving through the night unless you are a shift worker. If you arrive alive, you'll be beat for three days.

We stayed at the Richmond Hill KOA a few miles south of Savannah,Georgia on the way down. Easy off/easy on. Drove on into SC on the way back and stopped at the KOA in Florence. Also easy off and on. Worked out good for us. I also learned to get fuel before you get too low so you can afford to be a bit more selective as far as easy off and on. When we get to 1/2 we start looking.
